Learn To Play Piano On TV

When you see someone play the piano or the keyboard, do you watch in awe as they move their fingers along those black and white keys almost majestically? Do you wonder to yourself if it is possible for you to play the piano too?  If you’re familiar with this tinge of jealousy and longing, then do continue to read on as I’m about to give you all the essential facts and tips You Need to learn the piano whatever your age.

Many people say and it has been widely accepted that the piano is best learned at a young age.  Otherwise, you simply wouldn’t be as good.  I beg to differ.  You see, piano isn’t a God-given gift or is decided by your genes; anyone can learn it.  Just like all the other things that can be learned, learning the piano requires three things: your time that should cover enough ground for practice, your desire and passion to really get to the skill level you want to have and lastly a really good program that would leave no stone unturned in providing you with the knowledge you need and want.  Such a program is embodied in the Rocket Piano.  It can’t be stressed enough though that a product, no matter how good and effective, can only do so much and the main determinant of your success is still you.

Pianos have a way of looking really intimidating especially to those who’ve never even so much as touch it. It looks hard, complicated and intimidating at first, just like how basic math (addition and subtraction) looked like to us in kindergarten.  As you take your bite off one lesson though, everything else would just eventually be easier to learn and understand.  Learning chords right off the bat would be the better approach as to learning notes first the way classical training does it.

Reading notes become simpler when you know your chords first because chords are groups of notes and knowing them early will help you establish patterns when you’re using or reading music sheets. This is coming from someone who started reading notes as a kid but grew up to see her peers knowing more songs and playing all genres of music even with their zero background on the piano as youngsters.  And that is all thanks to their chord training.  Most songs take their cue from chords, popular music especially favors basic chords.  Having said that, with just a few chords, you can start playing a lot of songs and nothing can be more rewarding than that.  You will want to learn more after these accomplishments.

Ruth Searle, creator of the Rocket Piano program masterfully weaved the principles and step-by-step method of learning I described, albeit vaguely, earlier.  Musical theory are craftily weaved in the chord-learning aspects of the program.  Musical theory is essential to truly understand how music is created through the piano.  While shortcuts to piano learning like mimicking video tutorials or learning chords are essentially great stepping stones to becoming a pro at the piano, having the chance to know musical theory and be able to identify their applications in your playing is what will absolutely get you to that pro level.  I’m just scratching the surface on what this program can do for you though. If you want to learn more about it and about other tips for beginners as well, Rocket Piano Review should do the trick.
